Skoda Superb Combi is a front- or all-wheel drive business class station wagon that combines austere design, excellent cargo-passenger capabilities and modern technical "stuffing" ... This car is addressed, first of all, to family men with a good income level, having one or more children, who love road trips with the whole family, and value safety, comfort and practicality in "iron horses" ...

The International Frankfurt Motor Show, which took place in September 2015, became the place for a public demonstration of the third generation cargo-passenger version of the Skoda Superb, which received the Combi addition to its name. The Czech "shed" received a similar set of new things and "chips" as the liftback of the same name, and at the beginning of 2016 it reached the Russian market.

Exterior

At a special event in Bratislava, held on May 23, 2019, the Czech automaker presented an updated station wagon, which was slightly "refreshed" inside and out, "armed" with modernized engines and received new equipment that was not available before.

The faceted corporate identity of the brand in combination with cigar-shaped proportions and a sloping trunk line create a harmonious, light and elegant appearance, which makes the Skoda Superb 3 Combi truly attractive. In general, the station wagon body design repeats the liftback, with the exception of the characteristic rear end.

The cargo-and-passenger "Superb Combi" of the third generation has the following dimensions along the outer perimeter: length - 4862 mm, width - 1864 mm, height - 1492 mm. Between the axles, a distance of 2841 mm is visible, and under the bottom there is a ground clearance of 149 mm (for Russia, this figure is increased by 15 mm).

Interior

By 2020, following modern trends, the interior has slightly evolved: the screens have become larger, the buttons are touch-sensitive, and auxiliary electronic systems have also been added ...

Inside, the Superb Combi completely repeats the interior decoration of the liftback: a strict and laconic design, high-quality finishing materials and a large amount of space for riders in both rows of seats.

The indisputable advantage of the Czech "shed" is a huge luggage compartment, which, in addition to the correct rectangular shape, is capable of taking 660 liters of luggage in the "stowed" state. The backrest of the rear sofa is transformed by a pair of asymmetrical parts, as a result of which the capacity increases to 1950 liters and a flat loading area is obtained.

Specifications

In the Russian market, the restyled Skoda Superb Combi of the 3rd incarnation is offered with the same four-cylinder TSI gasoline turbo engines as the liftback - it is equipped with a 1.4-liter engine that generates 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, or a 2.0-liter unit, declared in three boost options: 190 hp and 320 Nm of peak thrust; 220 h.p. and 350 Nm; 280 h.p. and 350 Nm.

All motors are combined with DSG "robots", but 150- and 190-horsepower - with a 7-range, and 220- and 280-horsepower - with a 6-speed. In addition, the base "four" by default is mated with a 6-speed "mechanics", while the "top" version is assigned a non-alternative all-wheel drive transmission (all other versions are front-wheel drive) with a fifth-generation Haldex multi-plate clutch.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 6.1-9.0 seconds for the cargo-passenger model, and its maximum capabilities "rest" at 211-250 km / h. In mixed conditions, the five-door "eats" from 6.1 to 7.7 liters of gasoline for every "hundred" of the run.

Design features

Technically, the Skoda Superb station wagon of the 3rd generation is identical to the liftback: modular "bogie" MQB-B, independent suspension "in a circle" (front McPherson struts, rear "multi-link"), electromechanical power steering with variable characteristics and disc brakes on all wheels with modern electronic "assistants". Optionally, the car can also be equipped with adaptive electronic shock absorbers.

Options and prices

In the Russian market, the third-generation restyled Skoda Superb station wagon can only be purchased with a 190-horsepower engine (all other options will begin to be delivered to Russia only in 2020) in three trim levels - Ambition, Style and Laurin & Klement.

The five-door in the basic version costs at least 2 210 000 rubles, for the "intermediate" version you will have to pay from 2 460 000 rubles, while the "top modification" cannot be bought for less than 2 744 000 rubles. As for the standard and additional equipment, here - full parity with the liftback.
