The Porsche 718 Boxster GTS is a premium mid-engined two-seater roadster that embodies all the qualities for which Porsche models are loved, such as: striking appearance, powerful technology and "driving character" ... Moreover, it is the most productive option in the model's palette ...

Before a wide audience, the GTS version of the fourth generation car (with the internal factory marking "982") appeared at the end of November 2017 - at the stands of the International Auto Show in Los Angeles: in comparison with its predecessor, it became prettier externally and internally and received a more productive "filling", in particular, "armed" with a turbocharged four-cylinder unit.

Outside, the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS does not differ much from its “civilian counterpart” - among its features are tinted headlights and lamps, as well as black nameplates, an insert in the front bumper, 20-inch wheel rims with a unique design and twin tailpipes of the exhaust system.

The length of the GTS-version of "Boxter" extends to 4379 mm, of which 2475 mm is the center distance, 1801 mm wide (including side mirrors - 1994 mm), and the height does not exceed 1272 mm.

In the "combat" state, the car weighs from 1375 to 1450 kg, depending on the modification.

Inside, the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS can be identified by a dashboard with a red tachometer, a stopwatch and steering wheel located at the top of the dashboard, a center console, sports seats and armrests upholstered in Alcantara.

In terms of other parameters, the interior of the "warmed-up" model echoes that of the "civilian" two-door - noble design, premium workmanship and a two-seater layout.

For the transportation of luggage, the roadster boasts two luggage compartments: the one in the front holds 150 liters, and the one in the back - 275 liters.

The heart of the fourth-generation Porsche Boxster in the GTS version is a 2.5-liter direct-injection petrol four-boxer with a variable geometry turbocharger, an aluminum cylinder block and head, variable valve timing and valve travel, and a dry lubrication system. crankcase. The engine generates 365 horsepower at 6500 rpm, but the amount of torque depends on the type of transmission: with the "mechanics" - 420 Nm at 1900-5500 rpm, with the "robot" - 430 Nm at 1900- 5000 rpm.

For the roadster, respectively, two gearboxes are offered to choose from - a 6-speed "manual" or a 7-band robotic PDK (they direct power to the wheels of the rear axle equipped with a limited slip differential and electronic simulation of traction vector control).

From zero to 100 km / h, the two-door breaks down after 4.1-4.6 seconds, and accelerates to a maximum of 290 km / h.

In the combined cycle, she needs from 8.2 to 9 liters of fuel for every "hundred" kilometers, depending on the version.

From a constructive point of view, the Porsche 718 Boxster GTS does not differ much from the "standard brother" - it is based on a rear-wheel drive architecture with a monocoque body and independent suspensions of the McPherson type on both axles.

By default, the roadster is equipped with an adaptive electromechanical power steering, an active PASM chassis with electronically controlled shock absorbers and ventilated brake discs "in a circle" (330 mm at the front, 299 mm at the rear), clamped by 4-piston calipers.

In Russia, a Porsche 718 Boxster GTS with "mechanics" can be purchased at a price of 5,256,000 rubles, but for the version with a "robot" you will have to pay 206,051 rubles more. In terms of standard and additional equipment, the two-door has no significant differences from the "civil" model.
