As part of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Shows held in April 2015, the Chinese company Dongfeng Motor unveiled its new "golf sedan" called "A30" to the world, which is, in fact, a modernized version of the three-box "S30".
At home, the car is already being sold at full speed, and in the first half of 2018 it should reach the Russian market.
Outwardly, Dongfeng A30 cannot be called "irresistible handsome", but at the same time, the Chinese sedan does not exactly look like any of the "famous models". The car looks harmonious and quite modern, and the credit for this belongs to the correct proportions, which are crowned with nice lighting technology.
In terms of its overall dimensions, the three-volume vehicle from the Middle Kingdom is considered a "player" of the European C-class: length - 4530 mm, height - 1490 mm, width - 1730 mm, the gap between the front and rear axles is 2620 mm. In the "combat" state, the clearance under the vehicle bottom does not exceed 160 mm (in the Chinese market).
The interior of the Dongfeng A30 makes a good impression, not only by the design, but also by the quality of workmanship. A “meaty” four-spoke steering wheel, an informative “toolbox” with a pair of dials and a monochrome “window” and a symmetrical center console with a 7-inch multimedia screen and three air conditioning “twists” - the sedan's interior looks laconic and modern. The positive is brought by solid finishing materials, silver "decor" for metal and leather in "top" trim levels.
At the front of the A30, there are comfortable seats with unobtrusive lateral bolsters and ample longitudinal adjustment ranges. The shapeless rear sofa is designed for three passengers, but in reality only two adults can sit comfortably on it.
In the standard position, the Dongfeng A30's cargo hold holds up to 540 liters of luggage, and this is taking into account the full-size "spare" in the recess under the raised floor. The back of the "gallery" is folded in several parts, but does not form a level platform.
For the Chinese sedan, a single gasoline engine has been prepared - this is an in-line atmospheric "four" with a 16-valve timing and distributed fuel injection with a volume of 1.6 liters (1556 cubic centimeters), which generates 115 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm.
By default, the motor is equipped with a 5-speed "mechanics", and as an option - also a 4-band "automatic".
Thanks to these characteristics, the maximum car can accelerate up to 180-183 km / h, depending on the version, consuming on average 5.9-6.5 liters of gasoline for every "hundred" of the way in the combined mode.
At the heart of the Dongfeng A30 lies the PSA Peugeot Citroen front-wheel drive chassis with MacPherson-type independent suspension at the front and a semi-independent layout with an elastic crossbar at the rear.
As standard, the three-volume "flaunts" disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated on the front axle) with ABS, as well as a rack and pinion steering device, in which a hydraulic booster is integrated.
In the Chinese market, Dongfeng A30 is sold at prices ranging from 65,700 to 85,700 yuan (~ 680-888 thousand rubles).
In the near future, the car will become available to Russian buyers, but at what price it is still unknown. The basic sedan is equipped with 15-inch steel rims, power outside mirrors, factory "music" with four speakers, air conditioning, power windows for all windows, a pair of airbags and other "goodies".
